2. FUNDAMENTAL FACTS

1. Prior to mechanising:
• Staff = 3 Finishers + 2 Labourers.
• Production per day per team = 125 Square metres.
• Occasional shrinkage, cracking and drumminess.
• Crew of Middle Eastern background with communications in English with management only.
2. Post mechanisation – Spray rig only
   
   NOTE: Our Condor MPS303B rig was purchased and introduced initially to the same team.
   
   
3. After three weeks of introduction:

• Staff = 5 Finishers + 2 Labourers.
• Production per day per team = 290 Square metres.
• No shrinkage, cracks or drumminess.
  
  Footnote: When equipment was purchased, the rendering was well behind schedule.

• After six weeks renderers had caught up and the plumbers were then behind schedule, with the builder putting the pressure on.
• Equipment was continually sabotaged, new plumber team contracted and work proceeded without further delays.

APPARTMENT BLOCKS - EXTERIOR APPLICATION

1. Prior to mechanisation:
• Staff = 4 Finishers + 2 Labourers.
• Production per day per team = 120 Square metres on first and second floors – dropping to 110 square metres on third to sixth floors.
• Crew of Anglo Saxon background. ie No communication problems.
2. Post mechanisation – Spray rig only
   
   NOTE: Our Condor MPS303B was purchased and introduced to the same team
   
   
3. After one week of introduction:
• Same staff
• Production per day = 175 Square metres
4. After three weeks of introduction:
• production was at 235 Square metres
  
  Footnote: Client has since placed an order for another rig
  
5. At the beginning of the project our client had a contract for 12,000 Square metres.
6. After about a month he had two further contracts with the same builder/developer for a further 20,000 Square metres.

FUNDAMENTAL FACTS

1. Spray application normally starts at 7.00AM and is finished by no later than 9.30AM
2. Builders hoist and its associated cost is eliminated for a significant period of the contract.
3. Better adhesion because the slurry of the render mix is driven into all fissures thus less if any cracking or drumminess.
4. Using formulated pre-bagged mix or the more economical site mix is optional.

NOTE: Pre-bagged mixes are nominally 3-4 times the cost of site mix.
